According to the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, the story of Clinton’s $200 haircut ranked as a major news story of mid-1993 in terms of public interest, with 18 percent of survey respondents saying that they followed the story “very closely” - as compared with 26 percent who followed the Bosnia situation very closely, and 12 percent who followed the story of Clinton’s deficit-closing budget.
